This clay piece is inspired by the geometric pattern of the armadillo’s shell, a recurring motif in Mesoamerican ceramics. The shell’s distinctive bands, created through geometric incisions, reflect its flexibility and movement. Made in collaboration with Master Artisan Ángel Omar Covarrubias Ramírez of Colima, the piece integrates traditional hand-molding and burnishing techniques with a contemporary perspective.
