Collection: Xochicalco

Once a flourishing city circa 700AD and now a Unesco Heritage Site, Xochicalco means “in the house of the flowers” in the Nahuatl language. Our design inspiration is a large ceremonial pot from the Xochicalco archaeological site, adorned with spikey protrusions like stylized blooms on the verge of opening. The deep, beautiful, black clay is from San Bartolo de Coyotepec, renowned for its unique local clay and firing technique. The Xochicalco collection is an homage to this legendary city and the rich history of the Mesoamerican people.
