Acatlán

Acactlán de Osorio is a town located in the Mixteca Poblana region, and is famous for its fine burnished pottery. This collection showcases the unique aspects of this region from its proprietary local clay, through seven rigorous steps necessary to create the pieces. Inspired by the spirited work of Master potter Herón Martinez Mendoza (1918-1990), our Acatlán Collection pays homage to the whimsical acrobats and animals central to Heron’s work.
