Dualism found in Mesoamerican allegory sees the feathers as a connection to the sky and the serpent as a connection to the earth. In the Chiapas highlands, the collective we work with weaves each cover on a backstrap loom and expertly hand-brocades them. The Coatl covers bring myth and textile mastery together.
