The "Hands that Speak" project evolved from an ongoing dialogue I have maintained with ONORA. My ceramic

and artistic proposal for Onora is based on my body of work  known to me as contextual ceramics. The objective

of “Hands that Speak” is to bring to light  the importance and weight of the  daily unpaid work and chores of women

potters as well as the labor of those people indirectly associated with the trade.  In sum, without our hands that speak the

language of sowing seeds, harvesting crops, preparing food and raising our children, there would be no place nor table with

whom to share our food or  conversation or anyone to listen to…
