Understated and elegant, these crocheted sansevieria placemats designed by Angela Damman are a great addition to your dinner table. Also known as mother in laws's tongue, sansevieria is a plant known for its sharp and sword like vertical leaves. The fibers are striped from the flesh of the agave cleaned and twisted into twine and dyed using vegetable based dyes. Each piece is hand crocheted by Mayan craftspeople in the Yucatan peninsula.
